HR Technology Officer recruitment

PURPOSE

• Responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance and ownership of the UK HRIS and Payroll system, ADP Freedom. To include vendor management.

• Provide operational expertise to the HR Services team (UK) while demonstrating themselves as a subject matter expert on UK HR Technology.

• First point of contact for all issues relating to UK HR Technology originating from the external businesses, internal HR colleagues and the broader HR Technology Enterprise community (e.g.  SAP/ TalentLink/ RBC Campus).

• To provide full support to Manager, HR Technology on projects and workloads originating from Asia Pacific and/ or Europe.

• Create and maintain positive working relationships to develop a team based culture of co-operation and communication.

• Play an integral role in driving the HRIS function to achieve and exceed the objectives and expectations of the business

• Foster an environment of continuous improvement by challenging existing ways of doing business and investigating new opportunities for improvement.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
United Kingdom

• Complete Audit and Security control and review for the local UK HRIS and Payroll system (ADP Freedom) ensuring access is given to the right groups at the right level, and rights are removed and adjusted as and when needs and roles change.

• Awareness of all HR Technology operating within RBC the inter-relationships between systems.

• Responsibility for the build and control of the UK HR/ Payroll system infrastructure

• Responsibility for the ongoing maintenance of existing HR Access Databases as well as the primary lead on the build of any new Access Databases.

• Provide consistent and timely advice, and support the business as required on HRIS issues (such as, but not limited to Employee and manager Self Service queries/ System password resets).

• Work with Manager, HR Technology on any upgrades and functionality improvements to HR Systems, including testing and training as necessary

• Responsibility to act as point of contact for Enterprise Web Services team in relation to UK intranet sites

• Maintenance and control of all HR Services SharePoint sites.

• Planning and provision of training to the business on HRIS as required

 

Europe and Asia/ Pacific

Providing day-to-day support for the Manager, HR Technology in respect to administration and requirements gathering originating from Asia Pacific and Europe businesses.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

• Reporting to the Manager, HR Technology

• Working closely with Team Leader, HR Services UK

• Working closely with HR Analyst

• Working closely with Assistant Manager, Payroll

• Vendor relationship management in conjunction with Manager, HR Technology for all UK technology.

• Interactions with employee and managers around query resolution.

• SME on local HRIS functionality and support for queries around Enterprise tools impacting the local UK population

EDUCATION /OR EXPERIENCERequired

• Successful completion of secondary education

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Human resources or IT

• Experience of working within an HR Environment with base knowledge of HR and Payroll operations.

• Experience with HR and Payroll systems and able to understand and articulate the key features of these products.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel to an advanced level including Macros and Pivot tables.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Access to an intermediate level.

Preferred

• Experience of working within a Investment Banking or similar top tier business environment

• Experience of ADP Freedom would be advantageous but not necessary.
