HR VP, Asia-Pacific recruitment

Due to business a growth a US based investment management firm managing a diversified portfolio of assets is looking for a senior Human Resources professional to head up the HR function across Asia-Pacific.

This position will initially be a standalone HR role overseeing all locations in Asia and will cover all aspects of HR including employee relations’ performance management, recruitment and rewards. As the company is currently enjoying a period of continued business growth, recruitment will form a large part of the role as the company builds out the existing offices (particularly in Hong Kong and Singapore) and establishes a new office in the region. Additionally, the role will oversee the Office Managers in each location and because payroll and HR operations are conducted by the Office Manager this role has overall responsibility for the successful execution of these process.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in human resources with experience operating across the Asia region. To be successful, you should be an effective communicator with excellent relationship management skills, having a track record of facing off to senior business leaders with the confidence and ability to push back when required.   Additionally, you should have a sound knowledge of HR operations and be willing to roll up your sleeves where necessary.   You should be able to work independently, as well as being able to take the initiative and motivate others. We are also looking for:

• Minimum eight years’ human resources experience working in multinational working environments

• Previous financial services experiences preferred

• Strong relationship management skills

• Highly articulate with strong written and spoken English language skills
