HRS 00960 – International Assignment Services
My client, a Big 4 Accountancy Firm are looking for a senior associate to take up a client facing position in their International Assignment Services (IAS) team in Edinburgh.
The IAS team in Edinburgh has an impressive client base, including a mix of large and small inbound companies and UK listed/unlisted companies. Our clients operate in a wide range of industries, including Oil and Gas, Financial Services, Consumer Products, and Technology. There will be significant opportunities to build on the knowledge and skills you have already acquired in your time working in the HRS or tax arena. You will benefit from exposure to a wide range of issues on a broad portfolio of clients.
You will be based in our Edinburgh office but may need to travel to the Aberdeen or Glasgow offices or to visit clients as required. The role will be client facing from day one and you will be expected to establish strong relationships with HR and finance contacts, as well as internationally mobile employees, from a very early stage. You will also interact with HM Revenue and Customs and with colleagues throughout the firm.
You need excellent client handling and communication skills. Our clients expect a seamless global service: most of our engagements are global engagements so you will be working as part of a global team. Your organisational skills will help you to juggle diverse projects, on clients ranging from very large to very small
You will hold a professional Accounting / Tax qualification with UK expatriate tax (and preferably US) experience. You will also have experience of working in an international assignment services team either within a boutique tax firm, accountancy firm or in house as well as experience of building and maintaining relationship with clients and provide high levels of client service. Experience of managing the successful delivery of projects, ensuring technical excellence is also key.
