HSBC Australia's summer intern programme is one the most exciting entry points to start a career in the world of banking. The intern programme aims to offer you the foundation of on the job training, knowledge, skills and exposure on which successful banking careers are built. Our intern programme is for penultimate year university students with an interest in developing a career within a particular area of specialism.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic students to join our summer intern programme commencing 2nd December 2013. An 11 week programme (including a two week holiday break), the HSBC Australia intern programme provides talented university students with the perfect platform from which to begin their career.
Our 2013 / 2014 HSBC Australia intern programme currently has opportunities available in the following business lines:
Global Businesses
• Commercial Banking
• Global Banking
• Global Markets
• Retail Banking and Wealth Management
Global Functions
• Global Risk
• Human Resources
• Legal and Compliance
HSBC Technology and Services
As an intern with HSBC you will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and on the job training during the 11 week programme, providing true insight in to the depth and breadth of HSBC's international business in an exciting and challenging environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Candidates must be in their penultimate year of university studies
- Completing a relevant university degree for the programme for which you are applying
- Strong academic record with a minimum credit average
- Previous work experience or intern experience within a related field highly beneficial
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Australia citizen or permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen at the time of application
- Available to complete the full 11 week programme from 2nd December 2013 – 14th February 2014
