POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title: HSE Regional Coordinator 
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: HSE Manager
Manages: None
Other Requirements: Works a fluctuating schedule dependant on project requirements. Occasional out of town and overnight travel with or without notice.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Provides various elements of Health, Safety and Environmental support to TISI and client facilities within a designated region.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Accident/ Incident/ Near Miss Investigation reports – initiate all needed paperwork on accidents and near misses, relay information to corporate, and maintain files on each case. 
• Ensure that all branches are in compliance with training requirements, safety and technical. 
• Ensure branches are maintaining an adequate supply of approved safety PPE, such as ear plugs, glasses, gloves, harnesses, etc.
• OSHA 300 log – Review and assist branches in maintaining all required logs and summaries for injuries
• Smith Driving – Obtain Smith System Instructor Certification to conduct driver training as needed for regional locations. Maintain records of all training.
• Work with Managers and Supervisors to ensure Field Evaluations and JSAC Audits are being performed accordingly.  Maintain files for these items.
• Conduct random vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles are in acceptable operating condition and contain the required safety equipment.
• Conduct and/or assist, as needed, in monthly safety meetings for the branch.
• Ensure that all monthly vehicle and PPE Inspections are completed. 
• Technical Support – Ensure that branches are maintaining the most current safety, training, and QA manuals as well as training aides.
• Customer Questionnaires – Assist branch in completing customer issued PQF forms.
• Perform Field Safety audits.
• Attend periodic safety meetings at customer facilities, when required.
• Branch Audits – Perform scheduled audits and provide comprehensive reports for all regional branches to ensure compliance with applicable TISI, OSHA, DOT, RSPA, FMCSA and EPA Safety Policies and Standards

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Perform all other duties as assigned by HSE Director and/ or Manager.

JOB STANDARDS

QUALIFICATIONS
• Requires high school diploma.
• One (1) year prior experience in safety and/or supervision role in an industrial setting.
• Shall possess OSHA certifications in either 10 or 30 hr. courses or other equivalent certifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and typing skills. 
• Must have basic working knowledge of computer use for Word Processing and Microsoft Office.
• Business school and college credits are desirable. 
• Requires manual dexterity to operate machines and handle documents. 
• Requires visual acuity to type and read. 
• Ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice. 
• Ability to prioritize and complete work assignments by specific deadlines. 
• Must possess a valid driver’s license. 

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work is conducted in a semi-private office/cubicle setting and requires occasional off site visits to field operations.
• Field duties require outdoor and/or indoor work in a shop/plant atmosphere.
• Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.
• Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
• Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection. 
• May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
• May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
