Horizon Oil Sands
Horizon Oil Sands is an exciting part of our growth. Full production capacity for Phase 1 is 110,000 bbl/d of fully upgraded, light, sweet synthetic crude oil. We will see incremental production gains throughout the completion of future expansion and debottlenecking, with targeted full facility capacity of approximately 250,000 bbl/d. Further phases of expansion will bring the ultimate capacity to 500,000 bbl/d.

Position Summary
THE OPPORTUNITY:
For our growing team, the HR Administrator will have an opportunity to provide a full range of administrative support to the Client Services team gaining exposure to all aspects of the Human Resources Operations at the Horizon Oil Sands including:
o New Employee Onboarding
o Employee Status Changes
o Policy / Procedure Development
o Employee Support (payroll, vacation, policy etc.)
o Organizational Chart Development and Management
o HR System Audits
o Performance Management
o Exit Interviews
HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK?
* Develop and maintain New Employee Orientation material and present material to new hires on a bi-weekly basis
* Prepare employee documentation (employee change forms, letters etc.)
* Aid in obtaining signatures on approval documents as required and ensure documentation is received by necessary departments to process changes
* File all employee correspondence appropriately ensuring electronic files are accurate and updated in a timely manner
* Create and process correspondence regarding employee relocations and company location premiums
* Audit HR systems to ensure accurate data and send corrections to appropriate departments
* Investigate and assist with a wide array of employee concerns (vacation questions and tracking issues, policy interpretation, payroll questions, etc)
* Assist in organizational chart development/changes using Microsoft Visio
* Aid in policy/procedure writing as required
* Conduct exit interviews as requested and track all resignation data
General Administrative Duties
* Maintain office equipment and supplies as well as the department truck
* Accountable for the HR credit card process and all associated purchases
* Coordinate corporate travel arrangements for team members
* Responsible for outgoing and incoming mail, faxes and courier deliveries
* Coordinate meetings and special activities, distribute agendas, take meeting minutes and prepare meeting summaries as required
* Create Presentations when requested
* Other ad-hoc administrative or project work as assigned by Lead
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Grade 12 or GED is required with Business Office Administrative Training is preferred
* 5+ years of experience in an administration role
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Visio
* Previous experience in a Human Resources support role is preferred
* Outstanding organizational skills
* Exceptional at communicating effectively and tactfully while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
