As an HR Associate, you will be part of an expert Human Resources team that partners with our business groups to provide support for SIG’s dynamic business needs. We are looking for someone who likes to be challenged and who wants to learn and grow within HR.

One of the primary functions of your role will be to support immigration matters across the firm. Leveraging your strong attention to detail and organizational skills, you will actively collaborate with HR Generalists, Recruiters, in-house and outside counsel, SIG managers and employees on immigration matters. In this deadline driven environment, you will work to ensure that immigration and visa applications are accurate and completed within the deadlines required and that related paperwork is meticulously organized for easy access and review.

Provide support for immigration related matters across the firm including visa applications and related processes

Coordinate new hire orientation including scheduling conference rooms and facilitating technology, facilities and food/beverage needs; troubleshoot and provide logistical support for issues that may arise

Manage new hire documentation and follow up

Perform monthly audits of HR related information including I-9, applications, and other information related to new hires; produce related reports on a regular and/or as-needed basis

Schedule employee training and development classes and maintain related records; coordinate and provide logistical support for SIG Speaker Series events

May provide back-up support for the Recruiting Coordinator including scheduling and facilitating interviews for experienced candidates as well as coordinating candidate travel and reconciling credit card statements.

May provide back-up support for the Employee Services Specialist including relocation and employee gifts

Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Psychology or a related discipline preferred

Minimum of two years of experience working in a fast-paced, detail oriented environment is required. Prior experience in HR and/or immigration support is strongly preferred. Additional experience may include paralegal work, event planning, or team support.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast paced team environment required

Excellent oral and written communication skills are required

Ability to creatively problem solve and present thoughtful solutions is required

Superior time management, organizational and prioritization skills critical

Exceptional attention to detail required

Ability to maintain highly confidential information critical

Strong Proficiency working in Outlook or other scheduling systems, Word, and Excel required; experience working with Access or other database and/or reporting applications a plus
