Members of this group work together with business managers to attract, manage and retain top-quality people.
As part of the wider HR team, the Specialist functions provide aligned specific subject matter expertise in order to define, develop and advise HR policies to support our firm's strategies. In addition, they will provide a range of services to the internal HR teams in order to promote knowledge base of specific products.
As a specialist, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing in depth specialist/technical knowledge to the HR group.
We are looking for a highly motivated and driven individual who is ready for a role that will allow them to put into practice many of the skills they have developed in their career to date.
The successful candidate will be a minimum ATT qualified (preferably CTA) who has the self discipline to quickly develop a comprehensive understanding of JPMorgan's Compensation and Benefits policies.
Excellent communication skills, the ability to work under your own initiative and
good teams skills are also essential.Previous Human Resources experience is not essential but any candidate must have a familiarity with Compensation and Benefit related accounting, legal, and tax issues.
In addition, they must be able to demonstrate a degree of market awareness together with evidence of strategic business planning experience and knowledge.

Role Responsibilities:
Specialist Area Key Responsibilities:Collaborating with US to produce integrated global subject area initiativesKey inter-actor with global counterpart(s) to ensure consistencyDrive specific strategies for subject area through the HR Advisors and Business PartnersSubject Matter Expert with the ability to understand impact on business both internally and externally if firm's policies/procedures are misinterpretedLiaise with Business Management team to ensure the Knowledge Management tools reflect any policy changesDefine, develop and deliver strategic subject areas solutions that meet the needs of the businessManage and decide policy exceptionsMaintain and advise current market practices and trendsLiaise and manage relationships with relevant external bodiesEducate and train HR Advisors and Business Partners on new best practice and new policiesAdvise HR Advisors on highly complex cases (and in exceptional circumstances may manage cases)Maintenance of plans to ensure continued tax and legal compliance including assessing the impact of legislative changes.

Qualifications
Area Specific Responsibilities:
To join the EMEA Executive Compensation team within the Compensation and Benefits team which manages the design and implementation of Global and Regional Compensation and Benefits initiatives with specific emphasis on bonus delivery and Long Term Incentive Plans.
Typical duties will include:
Providing ad hoc advice to members of the wider HR function on tax related matters and share plan issues.Involvement in the annual Bonus Preference process, coordinating cross functional teams to ensure delivery.Assisting Business Partners with employee queries and providing information regarding current Exec Comp projects.Determine global tax withholding obligations for annual LTIP stock distributions.Liaising with the expatriate team regarding delivery of expatriate bonusesProviding technical support to our regional offices, adding a regional perspective to global Compensation and Benefits discussions.Develop and maintain relationship with the recruitment function and involvement in the stock replacement process.Assisting with drafting new hire and termination contracts which feature compensation-related issues.Maintaining proactive relationships with other internal groups such as legal, accounting policies, corporate tax and the New York Compensation team.Involvement in exchange rate election processes throughout the year.Preparation of Form 42 and Form 35.The hiring manager for this role is Ross Stubbenhagen
