Position Description:
This role works independently in Indonesia and reports into the HR Manager in Singapore. The role is to manage the Indonesia office where we have approximately 25 employees.
Overview of Key Responsibilities:
Provide advice and recommendations to Business Unit (BU) Management to support the BU manage a range of HR issues. Provide all HR administration for the Indonesia office.
Examples of what is required in the role:-
Regulatory requirements / compliance, for example:-
Annual Manpower report
Annual report requirements
Updating of the employee handbook
Employee Relations:
Manage day to day ER issues as they arise. Issues such as performance, grievances, employee conduct and other disciplinary matters
Employee Retention:
Provide programs locally to retain staff and build their career with Morgan Stanley
Compensation and Benefits:
Work with the Compensation team to ensure market data is up to date and make recommendations to the Firm and BU on salary and bonus levels
Induction:
Provide on the ground induction for all local employees
Visas/Mobility:
Work with the international services team for all employees that require work permits and Bapepam approval to work in the Indonesia office
Other:
Ensure that that the end-to-end life cycle of an employee of the Firm is maintained - from new hire orientation to exit interviews
Hiring:
Manage the hiring process for local talent.
Skills Required:
• Strong academic credentials with a University degree from recognized academic institution
• At least 6 years of relevant generalist Human Resources experience
• Solid communication skills with the ability to confidently articulate and present HR views / reasoning / policies across all levels
• Good understanding of local Employment law for Indonesia
• Proven ability to work within a multicultural environment and ability to network with colleagues in locations throughout Asia, Europe and the US
• Fundamental understanding of compensation, benefits, performance management, recruitment, training and development
• Experience of working in the financial or professional services industry would be strongly preferred
• High levels of computer literacy and ability to multi task in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Excellent attention to detail; good organization skills and a client driven attitude are essential to success in this role
• Fluency in English
