Hybrid (Equity/Credit) Research Associate recruitment
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop an expertise in the Financial Services with a focus on the Banking Sector
• Provide research support to analyst and team as required
• Participate in and assist with writing of morning comments
• Coordinate, generate and maintain research reports, presentations and databases
• Assist in the development of detailed financial models
• Help coordinate quarterly and year-end reporting initiatives
• Support and answer client queries as they relate to the sector
• Communicate news flow in a timely fashion to trading and sales, both orally and written
• Assist with special ad-hoc projects, presentations and initiatives as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Undergraduate degree with a financial background or an MBA
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred or Chartered Accountant (ACA)
• Previous exposure to the Financial Services and/or Credit sectors
• Previous exposure to the Banking sector in Italy is an asset
• Solid accounting and finance skills / experience
• Superior financial modeling skills - demonstrated skill in financial and valuation analysis
• Professional business writing, communication and presentation skills are a must
• Strong capabilities in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications, as well as the ability to source data from the internet and various technology publications. Experience with VBA an asset
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and commitment to task
• Ability to prioritize work, multi-task responsibilities, performs under pressure and meets time sensitive deadlines
• Self-starter – organized and able to work independently
• Superior customer service focus and attitude for internal and external clients
• Good understanding of the financial/stock markets also an asset
Fluency in Italian is an advantage
