Basic Qualifications:
B.S.E.E. from a four-year accredited College or University;
10+ years of professional experience;
Experience is desired in most of the following areas: the design of instrumentation, hard-wired controls, motor controls, PLC-based control systems, communications systems, power monitoring systems, SCADA systems, protective relay integration, automating manual processes, replacement of existing control systems, hydro-electric plants, substations, fish bypass/collection systems, cost estimating IC/Automation work, and instrumentation/control cabling/raceway systems;
Knowledge of the National Electrical Code, IEEE standards, and ISE standards pertinent to IC/Automation work.
Preferred Qualifications:
PE Registration in Electrical Engineering in at least one state.
Job Description:
URS Corporation is seeking an I C Engineer to be based in our Bellevue, WA office.
Typical Responsibilities include:
Candidate to assume an IC/Automation technical leadership position in the URS Bellevue office to provide engineering services for hydro-electric power station, water resources, substation, and general industrial/utility projects.
Responsibilities will include scoping, conceptual designs, detailed designs, and construction support;
Demonstrated ability to work independently on several projects simultaneously;
Produce design deliverables including but not limited to: electrical drawings, control drawings, instrumentation portions of PID's, specifications, operating sequences, and I/O lists;
Specify and design the basic hardware, system topology, communications systems, and the functionality of control and instrumentation systems;
Review detailed PLC system and panel designs by integrators or manufacturers.
