IB Operations, Vice President – Credit Documention Team Manager recruitment
An exciting opportunity exists to join the new and growing Traditional Credit Products team working within the Investment Banking Operations department in Singapore. About the department:
Traditional Credit Products Middle Office supports the end to end processing of Traditional credit products, including loans and trade finance. It has implemented a robust operating model and a strategic transaction processing platform for Asia. The growth driver for this team stems from the setup of the Global Corporate Bank which will result in expansion across markets in Asia.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will lead motivate a team and constantly seek to enhance the capabilities of your direct reports
- Take day-to-day support responsibility of new and existing credit facilities for TCP transaction
- Work in partnership with Credit, Bankers and Treasury Services colleagues and play a lead role in fine tuning the operating model / industrializing the process
- Help establish quality measures and standards that ensure client service standards are met
- Establish strategic and effective partnerships with teams in several areas of the bank in different capacities
- Functional responsibility for hub and spoke teams in processing TCP transaction
- Take responsibility for maintaining the highest quality data, as well as understanding and adhering to credit policy developments and escalating appropriate queries
- Follow best practice and procedure to ensure no control breaches
- Monitor Key performance Indicators ( KPIs ) to ensure timely action escalation in relation to Over Limits, Deal reviews, Remedy Queries, Firestar Breaks
- Ensure credit terms comply with credit approvals and term sheets
- Responsible to Safe-keep facility documentation, agreement and security documents
- Ensure exception management process is appropriately adhered to
Skills
- Bachelors degree, plus min 8 years of relevant work experience
- Inclusive leader with prior experience in managing and driving high performance / diverse teams.
- Possess strong leadership ability and influencing skills.
- Strong decision making capabilities and the ability to identify problems and propose solutions.
- Ability to build strategic partnership with key stakeholders and senior managers
- Good communication skills both with team members as well as other business partners. Ability to interact confidently with senior managers to sell and propose team directions relating to the operating model
- 1 to 2 years of people management experience
- Proactive/self-starter with the ability to deliver value-added support to business partners in a dependable, timely and accurate manner
- Have a can-do attitude, demonstrates flexibility and willingness to accept new assignments and challenges in a rapidly changing environment
- Strong attention to detail with a control and cost discipline mindset, takes ownership and is accountable for area of responsibility
- Good level knowledge of TCP products (loans, trade finance) and credit facility documentations. A sound knowledge of credit policies and credit systems would be a distinct added advantage
- Strong PC skills in Microsoft Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio). Ability to use web-based technology effectively
- Knowledge in Loan IQ for loan bookings an added advantage
