Thomson Reuters, a leading provider of information and technology solutions to the global financial community, is seeking a Team Lead- IB Product Specialists.   

TheTeam Lead -  IB Product Specialists leads  a team of Americas based professionals that are a key and valuable link between our services and our customers.  Combining a thorough understanding of finance and content, with expertise in our software, IB Product Specialists help clients streamline the research and analysis process for our clients.  The Team Lead -  IB Product Specialists will represent the pinnacle of such knowledge and experience.     The Team Lead -  IB Product Specialists and her team will work closely with Thomson Reuters Customer Support (TRCS) and other relevant Specialists (I.e. Excel modeling Consultant Specialists).
      
Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:      

 

The IB Product Specialist team lead by the Team Leader provides products and markets expertise to the frontline support teams as an escallation point with certain products, and direct client support for certain advanced products and data sets.  

1. Manage the IB Specialist team, training them and mentoring them in effectively managing the following set of responsiblities which the Team Lead will also participate in.   2)Respond quickly and effectively to requests for assistance from the frontline teams or directly from clients using analytical products; 3. Work directly with customers to provide additional information, updates, and resolution to issues escalated from the frontline teams; 4. Provide training and coaching sessions to frontline teams; 5. Maintain a high level of knowledge on the product or markets supported; 6. Building and maintaining relationships with other resolver groups across the organization to ensure appropriate resolutions are provided timely.;  7. Take ownership of escalated issues and manage product/service outages.;  8. Analyze various reports to look for opportunities to improve client experience and drive client satisfaction.  9.  Travel to clients locally, as needed.; 10. Assist in pre-sales activities by working with Sales in securing potential new clients and users.    
       
Additional Information:

 

The Investment Banking Product Specialists will be part of a global team, and therefore may be required to communicatie with various parties outside normal business hours, as well travel to global locations.       

Education:     

BA/BS degree- Finance, Business or Economics major or equivalent work experience.  CFA candidates, MBA and other advanced degree holders are preferred.    
    
Required Skills:

 

1) Deep product knowledge of Thomson Reuters products geared towards the investment banking community, with a paritcular empahsis on SDC Platinum and our Deals / Private Equity content.   2) Product Specialists are the buffer between the client and product management groups (both Data and Application).  They must be able to talk to client intelligently and use their critical reason skills to identify the problem and solution quickly.  Effective communication skills are required. 3) Analytical skills should be demonstrated by past academic achievements (e.g. undergraduate GPA.  We are looking for proven quick learners (self motivation) and logical reasoning skills.  4) Must demonstrate knowledge in typical investment banking and / or private equity workflow, typical industry content and products, and market/industry knowledge.  5) At least 3-5 years of financial services industry experience preferred, preferaby in a client-facing role.    6) Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills are required to manage outstanding issues until resolution.  7) Analytical, organized, detail oriented, and disciplined.  

    
Desired Skills:

 

Prior Managerial experience a plus.   CFA Level 1 or higher, or an MBA a plus
