IB Credit Risk Management is responsible for lending activities and related credit exposures within JPMorgan's Investment Bank. The group is organized by geography with teams aligned by industry. IB Credit Risk Managers lead the client credit relationship in partnership with IB Coverage.
Specifically, an IB Credit Risk Manager:provides credit expertise in structuring and/or pricing loan and derivative transactionsmonitors a portfolio of clients within a specific industry focusing on both primary and operating exposure originating from the IB, trading desk, TSS and Asset Managementremains current on all aspects of the credit relationship, including exposure, threshold management, compliance, potential problems and opportunities
leads credit due diligence for bank and bond executionsprepares credit analysis and seeks approval for all transactions, including loans, derivatives, and operating exposures, individually or as part of a deal teamleads or assists in negotiating and finalizing documentation for loans and derivativesworks with IB Coverage and Americas Corporate Banking on allocation of capital for clientsprovides a cohesive and comprehensive approach to review ratings, risk assessment, portfolios, clients and industries in their sectorleads senior management presentations including annual portfolio risk reviews and quarterly tiering meetingsperforms Agent role for closed syndicated transactions, including negotiating and documenting amendments and waiversleads the discussion and responds to questions regarding clients during internal and regulatory audits of the portfoliocoordinates and supervises the workflow of junior team members and assists with their training and developmentThe current open position is for a Vice President level IB Credit Risk Manager within the TMT risk team, which covers IB clients within the following key sectors:
Technology, Media, and Telecommunications.
Qualifications
Strong credit background and analytical skills - demonstrates a solid grasp of accounting and corporate financePossesses a solid understanding of financial products and market dynamicsStrong communication skills - able to partner with internal groups and interface with external clientsAbility to successfully work independently and as a part of a teamMinimum 5-7 years of work experience
