The Data Architect supports the global program to deliver a strategic Client Account reference database for
the Investment Bank. Focus will be on the overall Architecture and design of data components as defined by the data strategy and architecture principles. Working with a global team, the candidate will share the responsibility for ensuring that the architecture supports the business needs, determining relevant approaches to database design, the management of data, the organization of data in terms of storage and use and the demands of consumption from within Investment Bank. The Data Architect is expected to understand the relevant Investment Bank business processes and understand the data requirements for the different business areas within Investment Bank. This will include Client Account Reference Data, operational data stores and Data warehouse strategies and the framework for application integration. Candidate will be expected to work with technologists and business representatives from across the Investment Bank to explain the strategic architecture and data model, understand unique business needs and incorporate them into the strategic solution, respond to inquiries and adopters in on boarding to the strategic Reference Data solution. Candidate will help support and expand upon the Architecture principles for Data and support their adoption. Position requires several years experience working as a Data Architect within Financial Services and ideally in Client Account reference data.
Qualifications
* Possesses a deep familiarity with Investment Banking processes and procedures* Broad knowledge and experience working with account and client reference data including familiarity with:
- Account and Counterparty data
- Standard Settlement Instructions and Settlement Mechanisms
Client data:* Familiarity with a broad range of investment products such as Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income, FX, Futures Options* Participated in the design and delivery of enterprise data architecture
* Database design, Data modeling, data transfer and data integration within an enterprise Data warehouse and ETL environment* Detailed technical knowledge of some or all of the following; RDBMS, Oracle, Informatica, SQL Server, DB2, Java, etc.* Strong leadership and communication skills with demonstrable experience of taking a lead role within data architecture projects
