IB Technology Compliance Business Analyst – VP recruitment

We are in search of a Senior Business Analyst within JPMorgan's Investment Bank Technology - Core Processing area, specifically servicing the Compliance and Surveillance groups located in the US, EMEA and Asia-Pacific.

The Surveillance Online Analytical Reporting system (SONAR), has been designed for the purpose of assisting the JP Morgan Surveillance and Compliance groups in their efforts to detect inappropriate trading activity. SONAR collects various types of data from multiple systems, which it uses in the execution of filters (automated programs that detect irregular trades or patterns of trades) to produce analytical (batch) reports. This data is also available for ad-hoc analysis through the SONAR interface (Query Browser). SONAR is a highly flexible system that is quickly adaptable to the ever changing business environment, rules, and regulations.

The business analyst will to work with Compliance officers and analysts to define business requirements and specify data requirements. The role will involve working closely with the technical developers and component testers within the team to ensure requirements have been built correctly. The successful candidate will need to work with the project managers to ensure correct reporting of status and appraisal of effort and solutions, and be delivery focused with a keen eye toward project and artifact completion to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the full data life cycle from business requirements analysis and data feed definition, to data mapping and working with QA team to facilitate feed testing
