Main Function
IBD Finance team provides data and analyses of Product, Region and Industry to the Investment Banking Division. The team works very closely with the IBD Management Team and COO group on numerous reporting projects, ad-hoc analyses and systems initiatives.
Main Duties
- Provide IBD Executive and Banking teams with regular and ad hoc reporting, relating to Industry, Product, and regional revenues
- The team provides most of the Global Consolidated Management information for the division for use by the IBD Executive Team and Senior Bankers
- The team provides local coverage to the Global BPM's and Functional COO's - MA, RSG and central strategy team
- Analyze Industry, Product, Client and Banker data revenues to identify trends and developments occurring in Fixed Income products and client activities
- Develop new metrics and reporting to meet the changing needs of the business including business profitability reporting across revenues, cost and capital return metrics
- Work with the Technology group on systems initiatives and enhancements
- Ensure integrity of revenue; work with product control, IT and the sales COO team to resolve various issues including revenue recognition policies and shadow revenue credits
Person Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent
- 7+ years reporting experience is required, preferably with background in Capital Markets products
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
- Good leadership skills - ability to manage and communicate up, down and across
- Good interpersonal skills - ability to interact with senior management, particularly sales and trading personnel
- Proficiency in Business Objects based reporting (WebIntelligence) and/or Rich Client)
- Effective communication (verbal and written), presentation and time-management skills
- Exceptional analytical skills, numbers- and detail-oriented, proactive, thorough and accurate
- Confident under pressure, ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
