- Participate in the review of Statements of Work (SOW) and provide leadership and guidance on SPMS’ approach and solutions.
- Architectural lead for Image Builders
- Act as point of escalation for all environment related delivery issues for Integration Specialists and provide guidance until issue is resolved. For major or lengthy environmental issues, the SPMS Platform Management SME becomes the ‘owner’ of the issue so the IT Specialist can continue on with standard factory technical tasks.
- Adherence to Certification, Integration and Testing Processes. Lead the recommendations and re-design or modification of detailed technical team processes.
- Participate and contribute to Architectural /design meetings
- Participate and contribute to Project meetings
- Design solutions and provide documentation for New Business and Projects.
- Responsible for SPMS Image process and procedures improvements.
- Lead the work effort for project and act as the technical point of reference for all projects and technical implementations.

Required skills/experience
The successful applicant will be technically strong in all areas of Software Platform Management Services toolsets and processes (e.g, MDT, SMS, SCCM, Tivoli, Installshield), and will have a solid background and technical knowledge of the Windows OS operating environment (e.g., XP, 2000, Vista). Microsoft qualifications such as MCSE highly regarded.
Strong communication skills and professionalism are essential to succeed in this role as you will lead by example and drive delivery teams to implement image, software distribution and software packaging implementations/ projects.

You must have a willingness to share technical knowledge and work with other architects to provide enhanced delivery solutions for our customers and our business. The SPMS SME/ Technical Lead will also provide technical direction to SPMS Image delivery personnel and provide instruction and mentoring in order to achieve team objectives and drive quality improvement effort.
About the Role
The SPMS Image SME is responsible for all aspects of desktop and server image architecture and design. Working with the customer, the Image SME will help develop a desktop and /or server operating system environment aimed at meeting the customer’s business requirements through the use of technology. Utilising industry standard tools such as Microsoft’s MDT and SCCM, the Image SME is responsible for successful deployment and management of the customer’s desktop enterprise environment as well as the design and architecture of new desktop enterprise deployments.
