In-house Corporate Finance Manager
Highly acquisitive and rapid growth FTSE listed services business based in London requires a corporate finance manager to join their finance strategy team. This role is responsible for researching and analysing acquisition opportunities and then managing the acquisition process including the valuations and maintaining and developing acquisition operating controls. The role will initially be offered on a six-month basis but has the opportunity to develop into a permanent role after six months.
The key deliverables for this role include the researching and identification of new acquisition opportunities in existing and new territories. Undertaking the valuation work and returns analysis and then presenting findings to senior management. Through the acquisition process this role will lead the due diligence process, develop the acquisition timetable, prepare internal documentation and negotiate the sale and purchase agreements. The role will then include the development of the acquisition operating controls which will include developing the systems relating to transactions including the reporting and monitoring of post acquisition performance and success of integration. Finally a key element of this role will be the stakeholder management. This will include reporting to the senior management and executive teams as well as developing the relationships with external advisors and on the transactions.
This client is looking to appoint a chartered accountant from a top four practice with at least 2-3 years post qualified experience within a corporate finance / transaction services team. The ideal candidates will have a good understanding of working for a global company and an appreciation of working in different cultures. They will be commercially astute and communicate confidently without being afraid to challenge the business and deliver their views. The role will involve some international travel and applicants must be happy to undertake this.
