Job Description

 

·         Responsible for carrying out instructions and assignments given the employee by his/her supervisor/lead  in an effective manner

·         Responsible for maintaining, repair, and installation of all equipment and machine tools in the plant

·         Perform all preventative maintenance tasks as required

·         Understanding all general maintenance operations including, but not limited to: electrical, plumbing, mechanical, heating, refrigeration, etc.,

·         Responsible for helping to maintain good housekeeping practices in accordance with company and WCM requirements

·         Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Lead

Requirements

  

·         Must be a self starter and work as a team or independently when necessary.

·         Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and in a professional manner.

·         Must be a team player, very organized and self-motivated.

·         Must be able to prioritize and reprioritize as needed by demands of the plant operations.

·         Have the ability to work successfully with computers and software.

·         Experienced in the industrial environment with an emphasis in industrial plumbing.

·         Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and fork lift.

·         Have the ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

·         2+ years experience in Industrial Maintenance in a manufacturing operation is desired, with a general knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating, refrigeration, and machine repair

·         Must be willing to work a 3rd shift position.

·         Minimum abilities and/or skills required: lockout/tag out training, confined space training, Hazmat communications, hazardous waste accountability training, forklift license, personal protective equipment training, and monthly safety topic training
