AME is one of several pre-eminent firms offering in depth research and economic advisory work on the global energy and mineral sector. Due to our still robust growth in Asia and the Americas we need experienced people to grow our endeavours as we advise our international clientele.
After 40 years, we have strong critical mass and now firmly operate as a co-ordinated international professional services firm with offices in Sydney, London and Hong Kong (New York opens shortly). Our clientele is in mining, trading, construction, power generation, banking and funds management. We employ a skilled team of engineers/geologists, market specialists, economists, accountants, financiers and computer programmers. Our business model is built on a bedrock of detailed industry analysis and knowledge based upon rigious project data, our own world class software team and efficient systems. We do take the time to undertake rigorous analysis, long term analysis and primary research not possible in most other work environments.
We are still a nimble firm with a coherent and focused management team, so that your voice, experience and skills will be properly utilised. Our environment will allow you to open new doors in resources research and advisory.
We expect you will rapidly be an integral and a leading member of your team and responsible for:
- Supporting our clients with insightful new global research which draws upon our wealth of detailed primary research.
- Creating first hand analysis on the resources sector which is defensible in a court environment
- Training, helping and mentoring your junior colleagues
- Visiting and engaging clients to share information, ideas and analysis
We are building a mature and comfortable environment where you will have considerable choice, new challenges in our global field and a varied/interesting set of client assignments.
Ideally, you will have:
- 10 – 15+ years experience in your field of expertise. This might be a mining technical field, financial, accounting, mining company corporate or a similar professional services environment with a resources focus.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
- An interest in leveraging your experience to tackle new challenges
- A genuine interest in commodities and resources.
