Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This position is part of the ATARS II program at CANNON AFB, NM. The candidate will install, configure, and manage hardware and software related to Special Operations Forces Distributed Mission Operations current and future infrastructure and must be able to quickly trouble shoot and correct network failures to meet mission requirements. Major duties include Information Assurance Engineering and Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) implementation and coordination and supporting secure systems operations and maintenance. Candidate will be responsible for systems security, testing and system accreditation activities. Develop and implement government approved information security procedures and plans for the operation of multiple networked and standalone classified and unclassified computers, and coordinate government agency approvals. The selected candidate will incorporate and integrate DoD security practices into the overall operation of the contractor group. Candidate will conduct or oversee self-inspections and will maintain minimum compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), corporate directives, pertinent Air Force/DoD Information Assurance (IA) instructions and other government contractual security commitments. The candidate will be responsible for writing, implementing, and maintaining system security plans; updating Contingency Plans and any Program Protection Plans required by government customers. The job also entails providing acquisition security advice and consultation to program managers; estimates for additional DoD security efforts. The position requires knowledge and implementation of distributed data communications, including familiarity with digital and analog voice and data circuitry, modems, CSU/DSU's, TACLANE Encryptors, and other communication devices. Must have extensive knowledge of Cisco router / Catalyst switch installation and configuration, TCP/IP,DIS/HLA, Token Ring and Ethernet protocols (TCP/IP, SNMPv3, IPv6), and Windows XP / 2000 / Unix / Linux operating systems. Tasks will include the development, implementation and administration of LAN/WAN (Fiber and Copper), Video Conferencing, and Network Management services in a heterogeneous network environment. Candidate must also have a thorough understanding of long-haul connectivity using T1 T3 circuits. Perform other duties as assigned. Certification within 6 months is required per DoD Directive 8570.01M (e.g., Security+, CISSP). Desired Skills: Security Plan Development. Cisco Certifications. LAN and WAN experience. Network Security Design and Implementation. Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) certification. Certification as directed in DoD Directive 8570.01M (e.g., Security+, CISSP). COMSEC knowledge and experience. Experience supporting a simulation network for Distributed Interactive Simulation. Experience with VOIP, FalconView, Asset, TipOff, Call Manager and TopScene.
