Roles and Responsibilities
This role will offer the successful individual the ability to work on a wide range of security architecture engagements, identifying security requirements for complex applications, developing solution options, integration with wider application and operational design activities and specifying solution requirements for products and bespoked developments. We provide opportunities for candidates to work on the largest projects and develop wide ranging skills.
Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant and current knowledge of security issues, approaches and standards.
- Knowledge of infrastructure and application security requirements and ability to translate these into solutions.
- In depth knowledge of common application platforms and security technologies.
- Clear understanding of security methodologies, best practice and industry standards, and ability maintain and further develop KPMG's own standards and procedure.
Experience and Background
- An experienced IT architect with exposure to a wide range of web based platforms and integration with other environments.
- It is beneficial to see candidates who can demonstrate not just that they understand security concepts and requirements in the web security space but that they also have experience of the practical implementation of such controls into the live environment.
- Experience in review and advising on full life cycle of architecture development projects from plans, proposals, designs to implementation.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Desirable: prior experience in designing and delivering cloud computing based solutions (SaaS, Paas) covering public/private clouds.
