Information security engineer for Linux and Windows platforms recruitment
Basic Requirements
• Strong Linux or Windows platform administration experience
• Linux Candidates:
oLinux system administration (moderate) and package installation
oShell scripting experience (moderate+)
oLinux security fundamentals
oA plus for familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Linux
oBasic understanding of syslog
• Windows Candidates:
oWindows system administration application installation
oAt least a moderate understanding of Active Directory LDAP
oMust be comfortable working at Command Prompt (PowerShell experience a plus)
oSome understanding of group policy and security auditing and events
oWindows Server 2003 at minimum; prefer Windows Server 2008 R2
• All Candidates:
oMust be able to install software, configure, and troubleshoot with confidence
oExperience with Windows 7 Desktop usage (ability to administer a plus)
oMust be capable in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
oBe able to clearly communicate issues and their detailed solutions, step-by-step
oFluency in English (Written and Oral)
oGood and relevant IT degree or equivalent experience
In Addition
• Microsoft Visio experience a plus
• Lots of scripting experience and/or dual-platform experience is a big plus
• Ability to develop command line applications using a high level language:
oLinux: Python, Perl, C++
oWindows: C++, C#, VBScript
• Splunk experience at any level (Huge+ for developing Splunk apps)
• Windows PowerShell experience
• Deep understanding of Web-based applications web security
• Ability to develop small web apps using JavaScript, DHTML, CSS
• Experience with any of:
oIntrusion Detection Prevention Systems (IDPS)
oVulnerability assessment appliances (Qualys, Rapid7)
oCitrix Virtualization
oSyslog-ng
oSnort
