IT Software Developer

IT professionals are needed to develop real time software that operates IBM's semiconductor factories. We develop and manufacture microprocessors, application specific integrated circuits (ASIC's), for IBM's Unix, Mainframe and SAN Storage products as well as a wide variety of Foundry products. S/W engineers will design, develop and test application solutions on Linux, AIX, and Windows platforms to control semiconductor production tools, control material logistics systems, implement adaptive process control algorithms, automate software testing and provide real time web dashboards.
Candidates will have BS/MS in computer engineering, computer science or electrical engineering with programming skills in Java, C and C++. Experience developing embedded applications on smartphones, TCPIP sockets and MatLab applications is desirable. Middle-ware experience with WebSphere, Apache, and relational DB technologies is also desirable.
Successful candidates will be comfortable working through all stages of the software development life-cycle from requirements, development, test and deployment using Agile, RAD and waterfall methods. Successful candidates will work in a dynamic collaborative environment requiring strong teaming skills with programmers, engineers, material scientists, and production employees.

IT Architect

This professional will participate in the architect, design, development, deployment, and maintenance of IT applications in support of the Microelectronics Supply Chain. The Solutions Development team provides solutions development support for applications spanning Supply Chain, Inventory, Distribution, Procurement, Sales, Finance, and internet business-to-business. This position uses consulting skills, business knowledge, computer applications, and process development expertise to effectively construct, implement, and integrate IT application solutions into the business environment. Decisions affect the success of the project or significant portions of larger projects and have an impact on business results and customer satisfaction. Project management responsibilities include customer requirements gathering, solution design and integration, specification development, application test, business process flow documentation, user education, and application deployment.

This professional uses teamwork effectively to interact and collaborate to explore alternative approaches to issues and negotiates solutions within and across board teams; uses creativity and judgment to continuously improve existing application, processes, and procedures; handles multiple tasks concurrently and easily adapts to new assignments to meet business requirements; produces clear, concise, and accurate written/oral communication to conveying thoughts and ideas to peers, management, and customers; maintains positive working relationships displaying willingness to understand diverse points of view; learn, and apply new skills; and assumes complete ownership of assignments.
Bachelor degree candidates in the following focus areas are ideal: Information Technology (IT); Computer Science (CS); Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering, will some Computer Science focus. Candidates with at least 3 years experience in Supply Chain, Distribution Logistics, Finance or Accounting are preferred.

Positions are available in Hopewell Junction, New York as well as Essex Junction, Vermont.
