Information/I.T & Database Manager Job in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne-Tees Uk

To contribute primarily to the Northumberland and North Tyneside offices by supporting the Information and IT Manager to provide the information systems and analysis necessary for the planning, implementation, operation and monitoring of the programme and by providing IT support to the delivery teams. The Information IT Officer is required to play a full role in all the activities of the offices to ensure its success and the delivery of the business objectives and targets.

Key Accountabilities:

To assist in the development, implementation and management of the required IT systems to meet the information and reporting needs of the individual offices and to ensure appropriate support to meet agreed business objectives.

The main focus of the role is being able to manipulate data, having knowledge of access and crystal and in depth knowledge of excel formulae.

There is minimal requirement for database development or creation, as the role will mainly involve the utilisation of already existing data.

Ensure the basic information data sets are robust and developed in the necessary way to provide initial information in order to allow for assessment and survey work to commence and continue operation

Collect summary data on work undertaken to report progress against baseline position and to show achievement of primary Fuel Poverty (FP) and other targets

Co-ordinate with the Local Authority in the recording and reporting of information so that it meets the relevant client reporting needs as well as business requirements.

Assist in the provision of an effective IT support service for the delivery team, working with external staff where appropriate.

Assist in the liaison with other linked offices, partners and other relevant parties on measurement, information management, IT and fuel poverty strategy issues.

Assist the Information and IT Manager in ensuring the smooth, timely and efficient running of all information and IT related office administration activities.

To work flexibly across all the designated geographical areas in the Northern region, to support other team members in issues of information exchange and in meeting task deadlines in order to further the collective success of the company

Successful candidates will have an excellent working background in IT and support and will have full understanding of SQL servers, access databases and will be able to manipulate data.

The role will involve working across multiple sites, therefore a driving license and car would be beneficial.
