Infrastructure Corporate Finance Manager - Power and Utilities
My client is a multinational and renowned Consulting firm, widely recognised as one of the world's leading independent financial advisers in infrastructure. They are currently seeking to hire a Manager into their Power and Utilities group, giving you the opportunity to join one of the most innovative advisors influencing the future of this sector.
This group is responsible for providing in-depth advice on the strategic, financial and commercial issues driving investments in infrastructure. Power and Utilities is a key business sector for the group and encompasses a wide variety of work, including working with all of the leading energy companies in the UK.
Within this role you will be required to provide in-depth advice on corporate finance, regulatory finance and a variety of other strategic issues that clients may be dealing with. You will need to be able to utilise knowledge of finance and economics in order to assist clients in structuring investment opportunities, maximising shareholder value, as well as advising on other broader areas of strategy.
The ideal candidate for this position will have extensive experience of working within the Energy sector, specifically with regard to Energy Networks. This can be working internally within an organisation, working for a regulator, or working within another consulting firm. You must have knowledge of Ofgem's RIIO regulatory regime and an understanding of wider energy policy debates such as EMR and RMR. It is essential that you have a deep knowledge of working with regulated utilities in the UK and ideally will have worked with these in the past.
You must have experience of valuation, financial modelling, financial analysis and regulatory accounts, along with excellent report writing skills and the ability to discuss economic and financial theory.
The ideal candidate will have a degree (or equivelant) in Finance or Economics, and ideally will also have some post-degree (or equivelant) qualifications in this area.
