Job Summary
The client is looking for someone that is a Senior Network Engineer that is ready to make take the next step to a Lead Architect role. They want someone that be a generalist but has the experience to roll his sleeves up and configure.
Responsibilities
•The candidate will have proven ability to lead the development of a complete Enterprise Architecture and shall have at least 5 years experience as an enterprise-level infrastructure architect.
•Proven experience in developing at least 2 enterprise infrastructure architectures for midsize to large organizations.
•Experience with definition and implementation of EA governance.
•Ability to work with senior management to understand business needs and translate it into infrastructure architecture.
•Ability to lead both business architecture, technical architecture along with information, data, and security architecture efforts and work across specialty areas is highly desirable.
•Excellent knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as servers, SANS, LANs, WANs, MANs, mobile devices, VM, VOIP, messaging and associated standards and protocols.
•Experience with enterprise management architectures, technologies and vendor products.
•Experience in development of continuity of Operations and Disaster Recovery Plans, Data Center consolidation and experience with server virtualization and cloud technologies.
•Experience working with onshore and offshore resources vendors to design and support enterprise infrastructure.
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or Math preferred with 8 years of relevant experience.
•Proven ability to think at the enterprise level ITIL, PMP or relevant industry certifications is highly desirable.
•Minimum of 5 years progressive systems architecture and infrastructure management experience with a focus on multi-server datacenters supporting voice and data requirements of an enterprise.
•Detailed knowledge of security practices.
•Requires an individual who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both crisis management and expectation management.
•Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Ability to operate in a fast paced environment, assimilating large amounts of information quickly, and developing strategies and products with a minimal amount of oversight.
