My client are a leading global Investment Bank who currently have a fantastic opening for an Infrastructure Project Manager in London. You will be delivering large projects across the Investment Bank working along side various asset classes and delivering to their key requirements. You will be based within the Global Banking and Markets arm within the IT Operations division. You will be responsible for the delivery and maintenance of solutions to support a growing business around the globe.
Key responsibilities include managing strategic IT Infrastructure Projects supporting GBM Infrastructure Group strategic initiatives, for instance - Server and Storage Consolidation and Rationalisation Programme, Datacente migrations and Legacy Evergreening. You will be liaising with Regional Global infrastructure teams to ensure a streamlined service offering to the Asset classes.
Seeking candidates who hold solid Investment Banking experience with a wide technical profile.
Candidates need to have delivered a variety of infrastructure projects: Desktop, Datacentre, Migrations, Server, Application, Virtualisation, change, Networks…
Key skills requirements:
*Significant, in-depth development and infrastructure experience (all disciplines and platforms)
*Experience of IT in a trading room environment/investment banking experience
*Experience of Investment Business Systems environments
*Understanding of Servers/Networks/Application design and Datacenters
*5 + Years Proven Project Management experience of multi-million pound programmes
*In depth knowledge of Datacentre Operations, ME , management, Servers hardware and SAN Storage
*Ability to communicate and operate at a senior level
*In depth knowledge and Background of Server and Storage estate/ Server Consolidation programmes
*Change agent with solid negotiating and influencing skills
*Troubleshooting, ability to diagnose potential issues impacting programme and offer resolution
