Inhouse Recruiter (2nd VP) recruitment
Northern Trust is a leading global provider of asset management, custody, fund administration and wealth management solutions. Based in Canary Wharf we have 1500 employees in London and 2500 in total in EMEA. The Recruiter role is part of an inhouse recruitment team of 9 and takes responsibility for recruitment for a number of key business area as well as working with Human Resources globally to develop a consistent HR strategy and delivery.
Role
• Manage the full recruitment process from end to end for hires
• Set a robust and consistent recruitment strategy and process
• Design and deliver innovative sourcing strategies using direct sourcing methods (advertising, referrals, headhunting, networking, market mapping), internal sourcing and third party agencies where appropriate
• Advise the business on assessment tools (e.g. competency based interviewing, ability and psychometric testing, role plays etc.)
• Collate and review CVs, short list candidates
• Competency based interview and provide your recommendations on candidate suitability; challenging the business recommendations as required
• Manage the offer process with the candidate working with the HR Consultants and Compensation Benefits teams to structure offers.
• Maintain up to date tracking and management reporting using both the applicant tracking system (Brassring) and Excel tracking.
• Collate external market intelligence for the business on recruitment and market trends.
• Work closely with the wider HR team including regular updates with the HR Consultants.
• Manage process improvement projects both local and globally.
Skills / Experience
• Inhouse / onsite permanent recruiting experience is essential.
• Proven track record of direct recruiting in an inhouse or onsite environment is essential.
• Financial / Professional Services recruiting experience would be beneficial although not essential.
• Able to deal with high recruitment volumes as well as more specialist senior vacancies.
• Experience of developing sourcing strategies including direct sourcing and working with third party agencies.
• Strong consulting skills and experience in translating business objectives into resourcing solutions / requirements.
• Ability to network effectively, establish credibility quickly, build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers and effectively sell Northern Trust
• Ability to screen and competency based interview applicants while making sound judgments on suitability for the role / organisation
• Ability to work in a very organized way, multi-tasking, prioritising, managing data, and setting and achieving deadlines
• Experience of analysing recruitment management information and using this to identify and initiate improvements
• Knowledge of / exposure to relevant employment legislation
