We have a vacancy for an Inside Sales Person, based in Delta BC. This position is ideal for those candidates who eventually wish to commence a career in outside sales.
Purpose:
To enhance the sales effectiveness of our external commercial team by diverting focus and overall management of smaller accounts to Inside Sales.
To create and provide a continuous supply of leads and prospects that are identified, qualified and seamlessly communicated to the external commercial team where appropriate.
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Ability and determination to seek out and pursue new business opportunities and make cold calls and prospect over the phone
• Proven experience (ideally in the chemical distribution industry) dealing directly with external customers
• Proven computer skills including spreadsheets and ERP system
• Self-starter, independent, entrepreneurial, able to handle pressure and capacity to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Sales potential
• Detail oriented, multi-functional with excellent organizational and problem solving skills
• Natural business sense/interest
• B.Science, Chemistry or Food Science would be an asset.
