INSIDE SALES/APPLICATIONS ENGINEER
Canada's fastest growing pump distribution company is looking for a Pump Inside Sales/ Applications Engineer professional that will NOT settle for just providing a pump in a box" reactively to the market. You must be able to understand the Value Proposition, because our client will never commoditize their products or devalue their position in the market.
As an applications/inside sales person, your responsibilities would include:
- Pricing, preparing and submitting quotations to customers and internal departments.
- Reviewing in detail the RFQ, related technical specifications.
- Completing the selections of the core equipment and any required ancillary components, prepare detailed cost estimates and prepare technical and commercial proposal.
- Working with engineering on complex packages on behalf of the Outside Sales Team.
- Work directly with represented manufacturers to obtain technical information, project pricing, and special requirements.
- Preparing sales order work sheets, draft purchase orders, technical submittal packages, and manuals when required.
You will have developed the following qualifications, as an Applications/Inside Sales person:
- A minimum of 5 years experience, inside sales and engineered applications experience with pumps and/or compressors, with a focus on excellence in customer service.
- Attention to detail, with an analytical ability to read technical documents and interpret drawings.
- Proven selections and applications abilities are a must, using a variety of software, manuals and price lists.
- Superior and effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Enjoy working directly with customers.
- Better than average computer skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated organizational skills – a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a busy team.
- Ability to work within a demanding schedule with short deadlines and produce accurate results.
- Post-secondary technical education and background (CET or EIT - or equivalent practical experience).

You will make between $60,000-$100,000 per annum depending on experience and performance (there is potential for more compensation with the right experience).
