Institutional Account Manager

The Account Manager is an integral part of our institutional relationship management teams. The person in this role works with our Client Advisors (Relationship Managers) to support clients on many levels, and is an important liaison between clients and other UBS internal functions. An Account Manager seeks to continually develop and maintain the client’s trust and confidence, and overall satisfaction with our firm’s investment strategies and services. An individual in the role needs to have a passion for client service with high attention to detail along with an aptitude for investments as well as strong communication and problem solving skills

Responsibilities:

Client Service – Fundamentally, a client-focused role that works with Relationship Managers and appropriate UBS business groups, to assist in the development of deep and lasting relationships with our client counterparts.  Communicates with clients via phone, email and in person.  Assists in the preparation of investment reviews, presentations, clients/prospects materials and ad hoc projects.

Specific responsibilities include managing and prioritizing regular client reporting, client deadlines, monthly internal client reviews and compliance checks.

Business Development Support – Work with the Relationship Managers to appropriately expand the existing client relationship to the benefit of both the client and UBS which includes exploration of new capabilities and services to improve client outcomes.

Provide business development support on prospects through research and analysis.  Assist in shepherding the sales pipeline of Relationship Managers through utilizing resources from other teams to keep the pipeline active.

Requirements:

 

Institutional asset management client service orientation

Excellent attention to detail

Strong oral and written communication skills

Highly organized with the ability to manage deadlines

Team player with success in delivering in either a leadership or contributor role

Investment aptitude with CFA and/or MBA preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Minimum of five years relevant experience.

Will be required to obtain Series 3, 7 and 63 registrations.
