Institutional Sales Support Manager recruitment
Based in Amsterdam, this is predominantly a sales support role, although the role will also involve providing occasional backup client service support. Initially, the role will also include providing client service cover for an employee on maternity leave. Principal manages a wide range of asset classes, including equities, specialist fixed income, real estate and alternative investments. The role will provide increasing contact with clients, consultants and research houses as experience is gained.
Responsibilities will include setting up meetings with prospects, preparing sales presentations and materials and follow up, conducting research on Benelux markets (pension funds, family offices, charities, insurance companies etc.) and competition analysis, occasional backup client service support as the local contact person, as well as participation in seminars and conferences in Europe. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop her/his career within a growing global organisation. In time it is expected that this role will act as a junior sales person in the region or possibly take a client service direction.
Candidate Requirements:
Education: degree level or equivalent
Skills and experience required:
- A background in financial services, for example as an investment/RfP writer or as an investment consultant, with ideally 2 – 3 years experience
- High level of numeracy and attention to detail
- A high degree of professionalism and commitment to work in a high pressure environment is essential
- A good knowledge and high interest in current economic and financial market conditions
- A strong business focus and a proactive, entrepreneurial approach
- Strong client orientation and the ability to independently solve complex client problems
- Marketing or marketing support experience would be useful
- Excellent communication skills are essential
- Fluent written and spoken Dutch English language skills are essential
