Instructor 1 Literacy, Numeracy & ALS – 0.5 FTE Fixed Term Job in Newcastle, Tyne

The successful applicant for this post will have experience of supporting students at all stages of the learning

process and be able to employ a variety of methods and strategies to ensure differentiated learning.

You must be a team player and have the drive and determination to work with learners who have additional

learning support requirements in literacy and numeracy, specifically based within the school of Health

Enterprise.

Knowledge and experience of delivering/ supporting learning in Literacy and Numeracy is required as well as

experience of identifying / producing materials to support the individual learning programmes of our learners.

Experience of supporting learners with behavioural and emotional needs is advantageous. Knowledge and

experience of Functional Skills is also advantageous.

You will need to be qualified to a minimum of level 2 in literacy and numeracy, be willing to work towards a

teaching qualification (PTLLS) and be a member of IfL.

This post is fixed term until 20 July 2012 working 18.5 hours per week.
