Granite Services is seeking talented, enthusiastic and motivated individuals with Field Service experience working with industrial and rotating equipment to perform installing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on vibration monitoring equipment.
The On-site Instrumentation FE will provide services that will range in scope from Plant Asset Management system commissioning and maintenance, from transducers to computer and software systems for Machinery Monitoring and Protection Systems. The Field Service Engineer/Technician will be in charge of pre-defined operation, installation, maintenance, testing, adjustment, troubleshooting and technical assistance based on good engineering, manufacturing, for Vibration monitoring equipment and controls.
They will be providing on-site technical direction to turbine related services (installation, maintenance or retrofit) to utility, industrial, transportation, government and commercial customers while giving direction for commissioning of Bently Nevada Vibration monitoring equipment
Other responsibilities will be completing standard service reports, monitoring site safety on projects, invoice packages and other administrative duties and requirements.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
· Perform Field Service installations, commissioning, and trouble-shooting of Bently Nevada Hardware and Software Products and deliver product solutions at customer locations
· The Field Engineer participates as a Regional Service Team member
· Provide regular communication, feedback, and status updates to the Regional Service Manager
· Provide customers with technical direction and/or project management
· Able to travel extensively and work significant over-time
· Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality and safety.
· Support the business growth initiatives
· Make decisions based on business impact and technical data.
· Identify technical and/or schedule problems and take the initiative to eliminate those problems for project success.
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Prior experience in installation, operation and performance verification of basic Bently Nevada, or other brands of Vibration Monitoring, products both hardware and software, and associated service tools.
· 2-5+ years of Field Service or 10 years industry (Industrial, energy, and/or oil and gas) experience. Will consider recent college graduates in NE locations.
· Possess a two- to four-year technical degree in Electronics (AAS, BSEE), Mechanics (AAS, BSME) or Industrial Engineering (AS, BSIE), or equivalent military experience as determined by the Area Service Manager.
· Knowledge of machinist tools and electrical trade.
· Technical knowledge of rotating machinery operation, controls systems, and vibration Monitoring hardware / software.
· Self-starter with minimal supervision requirement; able to work independently; ability to prioritize, organize work, and meet deadlines
· Ability to set and meet aggressive targets.
· Electronics and/or mechanical trouble shooting skills. Hands-on approach
· Strong Computer and Network skills with familiarity of MS Office products.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to read and write English

· Possess a valid driver's license, passport, and TWIC card (or able to obtain a passport and TWIC card).
· Advanced computer skills for data analysis, word processing, spreadsheets, and email.

Contract Details:
· Performance review every 12 months; This is a ongoing contract.
