Instrumentation Senior Designer
Primary Job Responsibilities * Instrumentation Senior Designer. * Requires extensive experience using AutoCAD to design/develop Complex Instrument Control Loops, Instrument/Electrical Installation Details, Instrument Location Drawings, Motor Control Schematics, Conduit Routing, and Control Panel Design. * Candidate will be proficient at producing Instrument and Electrical drawings with minimal input from other personnel. * Must have experience developing Instrument Index, Wiring Diagrams and Loop Drawings using InTools/Smartplant Instrumentation. * Must be proficient at doing Instrument material take-offs from drawings, checking Instrument/Electrical drawings, reviewing vendor data and correlating the information with Project drawings. * Must have effective communication skills to interact with multi-discipline team members and field construction team members. * Will include site visits to client facilties to gather data and may involve field installations and startup work. Training and Experience * At least 8 years of IC design experience required, drafting/design and related coursework. BS reduces experience requirement by 1-2 years * Experience on refinery project is preferred * InTools modules for Index, Wiring and Loops. Other Essential Functions Other Requirements Essential Functions: Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 100 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the office.
