An opportunity to join a rapidly progressive company based in Derbyshire.
due to increase in contracts we are looking for an Instrumentation Technician from a pharmaceutical background
Initially it is for a minimum of 12 months fixed contract offering 3 months notice for loyalty. This could extend a further 6 months and then could be a permanent position.
Hours are Monday -Friday 8.00-4.30pm with paid overtime if needed
Salary is up to £45k dependant upon experience
20 days holidays + 8 statutory days
Basic tools and Equipment
Full range of spanners
Metric and Imperial socket sets
GS38 tester such as martindale
Multi meter with GS38 leads
Insulated screwdrivers
Basic range of hand tools, knife with lockable blade
Pliers, cutters etc
Qualifications or certifications in some or all of these areas required
IOSH of passport to safety
Compex- qualification to work on hazardous area equipment
17th Edition IEE RegsBS7671
HNC or HND in Instrumentation control
Electronics degree
Proof of apprenticeship, indentures, relevant NVQ's or evidence of experience

Candidate requirements:
Mechanical skills associated with removal and replacement of valves and transmitters
Maintenance, repair and calibration of flow, temperature, pressure and level control loops
Maintenance repair and calibration of various control valves and associated equipment such as valve positioner
Knowledge and understanding of chemical hazards or relevant chemical plant experience
Knowledge of PID and the ability to tune control loops if required
Knowledge of basic analysers i.e. PH, Conductivity, Oxygen
Knowledge of discreet controllers PLC's DCS; SCADA preferably Rockwell Allen Bradley Controllogix / Flexlogics, Yokagawa Centum systems
HNC or HND Instrumentation control or Electronics degree and worked within a pharmaceutical or chemical environment
