We are seeking an Intermediate or Senior, Low Level/System Level Software Debugger/Profiler Tools Development Engineer, for our Austin, TX based client
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop low level/system-level debugger/profiler performance analysis software tools, for cutting edge chip level hardware architecture
- Interface with and support internal groups(such as Software quality assurance team), to define validation needs, review test plans, performance analysis and implement fixes for bugs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS or better in CS or CE
- 3 to 6+ yrs of low level/system software development experience, with at least some experience having specifically developed low level/system-level software performance/statistical debugging or profiling type tools for ICs or Microprocessors
- Must be proficient in low level coding of both C and C++
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
DESIRABLE/ASSETS:
- Exposure to or experience with, x86 architecture or micro-architectural features of microprocessors
- Direct experience having developed: Linux oprofile / perf, Vtune(Intel) performance analyzer or performance counters; GNU Debugger(gdb) or other debug solutions
- Experience with C#, Java, and/or .NET
- Compiler experience
