Integration Architect-Full time Job in Chesterfield, Missouri Us


Summary: The Integration Architect should perform all duties related to managing the transfer of data from one system to another within the St. Luke's Hospital organization. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values.

Works with Application Analysts to bring new interfaces online using the integration engine.

Works with Data Architects to send current data into the Database.

Develops Perl programs to convert text reports to image files for permanent storage.

Uses Cerner's scripting language to send and receive data to and from the Cerner system.

Develops Unix based C applications to create custom interfaces.

Monitors all aspects of the integration engine.

Ability to develop less senior peers to help in their technical growth.
Ability to review specifications and architect interfaces based on their design.
Ability to assign and monitor integration tasks for new and ongoing projects.
Ability to gather solid requirements from developers and users.
Ability to troubleshoot problems by research.
Demonstrates excellent organization, written and oral communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must be willing to work after-hours for on-call, support and project implementation.

Performs other work duties as assigned.

Required Experience:
Experience using with a mission critical integration engine.
Experience with Sybase's Impact integration engine.
Experience implementing COLD interfaces.
Experience with programming PERL scripts.
Experience with Unix and shell script programming.
Experience with Cerner FSI.
Experience with Unix/C programming.
Knowledge of TCP/IP programming in C/C++.
Knowledge of HL7 formatted messages.
Knowledge of SQL statements.

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.

Working Conditions:

Employee is required to sit continuously and walk occasionally. Employee must lift/carry a light (1-20 lbs.) load frequently. Employee may be required to lift over 100 lbs. with assistance. Employee is occasionally required to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, climb, lift waist to overhead. Employee is occasionally required to reach forward and reach overhead. For repetitive action, employee is required to use both hands for simple grasping and pushing/pulling. Employee is continuously exposed to electrical hazards and CRT terminal work.

(Occasionally: 1-33%, Frequently: 34-66%, Continuously: 67-100%)

The most significant of duties are included but this does not exclude occasional work assignments not mentioned or developmental duties.

This position reports directly to the Manager of Technology.
