Integration Project Manager
This project management position is focused on print management projects in a Direct Marketing Environment. Primary responsibilities involve overseeing digital production (print, email, purl, mobile) to ensure that all required deliverables are created. Responsible for managing multiple direct mail and multi-channel projects to completion. Creating and maintaining the project plan and all daily project activities; Coordinating interrelated operational tasks required to support the proposed solution; Tracking issues; Monitoring milestones communicating progress, and escalating issues.
- Establish a set of processes and a means of continuous improvement.
- Provide technical oversight to digital production, identifying, escalating and resolving technical issues as they surface.
- Create a project plan for each customer implementation. Understand and reinforce project objectives, and ensure the ability to measure success against those objectives.
- Manage activity specified in the plan and monitor progress toward each milestone. Identify risk factors and contingency plans, communicate project status and critical risk factors to management and other stakeholders and escalate issues as necessary to adjust the project scope, resources or time line as needed.
- Manage communication among stakeholders utilizing available tools to ensure that all parties are aware of the project’s progress, risk factors and required actions.
- Build a culture of collaboration and strong communication among team members.
- Maintain a current up-to-date view of the project portfolio to assist with resource planning.
- Work closely with the Technical Team and Account Management Team to ensure alignment of work with business objectives, and to review priority of ongoing/upcoming work.
- Establish strong relationships with print facilities and other cross-functional groups.
- Document lessons learned and incorporate findings into future projects.
- Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
- Direct Mail Marketing Services experience is a MUST
- Bachelors in Business, Advertising, or related field, preferred
- 3-5 years in advertising/marketing project management at an advertising agency.
- In-depth knowledge of project management. PMI or PMP certification a plus.
- At least 3 years of experience managing people and tasks, in a matrix environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, follow-through and multitasking abilities
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of traditional advertising assignments with an understanding of interactive workflow
- Able to manage and distribute work to busy design studio
- Strong attention to detail and task completion
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, be a flexible thinker and enjoy challenges
- Must be able to recognize anomalies and critical situations and respond appropriately.
- Sound knowledge of the Web and related interactive marketing technologies
- Must be able to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers at level of detail required to resolve issues of moderate complexity. Must have the ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand. Must be able to clearly articulate business needs to both internal and external customers.
- Able to apply strong functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, MAC, or other technical tools in completing assignments.
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), required
- MS Project and Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- Working knowledge/familiarity with: HTML, email, mobile marketing techniques
- Familiarity with Source Control/Versioning/Content Management and/or Digital Asset Management
- Print Management Experience in a Direct Marketing Environment
- Occasional travel may be required
