Interest Rate Derivatives Product Expert, Associate Director
Role Overview
The role is an Associate Director in the Product Management group and will have responsibility for the maintenance and development of the Interest Rate product suite and many associated technical and business development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day to day product maintenance including: product specifications, market models, trading procedures, matching algorithms, liquidity provision incentives, fee structures and rebates, market making programmes, listing of new contracts, daily settlement prices
- Assisting with the research and development of all aspects of new products
- Development, management and administration of extensive market making programmes
- Providing wide ranging expert product support in cooperation with sales team
- On-going competitor awareness and analysis
- Research, analysis and report writing in support of new initiatives
Experience and Skills
- Knowledge of Interest Rate OTC markets and how they operate; the growing interaction between listed and OTC markets and the micro and macro regulatory environment and the opportunities created by changes in this environment
- Good numerate degree
- 6 – 10 years experience in a derivatives operations / product management environment
- Excellent knowledge of listed interest rate derivative products and the associated market mechanics and dynamics
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills combined with a strong research capability
- A logical and sensible approach to problem solving; engaging rational thought and commercial awareness
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Confident self starter
- Excellent Excel, Word Powerpoint
- Bloomberg / Reuters
- Matlab / Mathematica / VBA / C++ would be an advantage
