Interest Rates Derivatives
The IRD Business Analyst role will support critical software development projects in financial services and is immediate required to provide expertise in the design and documentation of the business process underpinning the financial market data and benchmark systems. This system provides analytics and support for the acquisition and processing of financial market data.
Our client is bringing fundamental change to the way financial markets operate, and wants to build a small team of highly experienced and motivated professionals to implement its ideas and this role will contribute through creativity and balanced technical innovation.
Specific tasks will involved;-
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artefacts as needed providing Functional Scope, Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface Designs.
Serve as the conduit between the product team and the software development team through which requirements flow.
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
Ascertain business process management and business requirements of the customers and translate them into specific software requirements.
Skills/Knowledge
Experience working in a software development projects and an understanding of the full development life cycle.
Experience of writing user cases in Agile software environments.
Strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Experience of Interest Rate Derivatives and financial modelling.

Well-developed team work and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to operate independently and communicate and work effectively with developers, testers and product teams.
Ability to explain complex concepts succinctly, and to set proper expectations for line managers
Ability to suggest and work towards improvements in business process

Ability to effectively assess technology risks when designing solutions
Strong Mentoring capability
Bachelor degree in business with an emphasis in information systems.
