Interim Chief Operating Officer – Infrastructure (MD-level) recruitment

Accountabilities

• The main accountability of the COO is the responsibility for the overall day to day running and operational aspect of the function. 

• The role holder will also be responsible for the design, communication and implementation of a high profile corporate restructuring initiative.

• In addition, the role holder will partner with HR to support the implementation of the HR strategy.

• The role holder will also be responsible for business case management which includes financial control, benefit realisation and the overall alignment to the business objectives.

• The role holder will also be accountable for Business Intelligence, including the maintenance of a single source of common data across the group to support the overall operational strategy.

• Proven track record of effectively building capability and leading a project team of 60 plus members over multiple international locations. This may vary according to size of projects with virtual teams that may be assigned on a project basis.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrable track record working in a COO or Business Management position with a large Investment Banking Infrastructure function.

• Extensive experience of a range of appropriate change / programme management methodologies, including exposure to governance, controls and risk management.

• Complex Project Management experience, including business process re-engineering, post-merger integration and restructuring experience with the ability to demonstrate a track record of successful delivery of several large-scale, high profile strategic change projects with financial/budget control of over £50m.

• In-depth experience in the preparation of executive reporting and communication.

• Extensive experience gained in a leadership role over a complex, global, multi-business change programme with significant experience in the design and delivery of operating model change due to the nature of the business.

• The successful candidate should be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline ideally with an MBA or honours degree with a proven track record of personal and professional achievements
