Interim Head of Specialist Services

Our client is a large financial services organisation operating in the UK, and overseas, within the general insurance, financial services, and travel sectors. Based in York, they are looking for an interim Head of Specialist Services to come in on a three month project. This interim job will be to look at all of the regulatory compliance and processes around Claims, Complaints and Anti-Fraud. Providing ideas / plans on how to improve these moving forward in accordance with the FCA and other Regulatory bodies.

It could be that you are developing and implementing innovative and market leading claims processes, working with the Head of UK Customer Services to review and propose structural changes to deliver optimum performance. You could also be supporting the business with implementing robust processes and controls across all areas, as well as driving continuous improvements in technical decision making.

This interim role could also involve you providing technical input to Claims Operations, ensuring the Claims function has technical excellence embedded within all its activity. You may also support the management and performance of the complaints, claims and fraud teams, as well as identifying technical training requirements and overseeing the delivery of subsequent training, and providing technical guidance on individual claims.

Thats why we are looking for someone who has previous experience across all elements of Technical Claims within an Insurance Regulated environment. With knowledge and experience of complaints and the relevant regulations, as well as anti-fraud experience. Someone who has people and operational management experience and with strong experience of working under strict regulatory standards.
