Interim HR Business Partner recruitment
JOB TITLE: HR Business Partner, UK
EFFECTIVE DATE: May 2012
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides HR support to various business areas either locally or globally ensuring the alignment of HR initiatives to the growth of the business.
• Liaison with senior management team across functions, where the ability to give commercial and credible advice is paramount. Builds, develops and maintains strong relationships with internal client base and provides advice on all HR issues to management and staff
• Work with the recruitment team on recruitment at all levels. Support and advice to line managers on recruitment needs and how to effectively resource. Works with line managers to structure compensation attractive packages in line with internal structures. Ensures all new recruits have necessary permits and permissions to work in the UK and in financial services.
• Highlights and responds to HR related business risk and ensures best practice with employment issues including liaison with external legal advisors as appropriate. Able to handle complex terminations, compromise agreements, redundancies, disciplinary issues, grievances etc with minimal assistance. Ensures that Newedge remains compliant with current UK employment legislation and amendment of contracts etc to ensure compliance. Drafting complex offer letters and contract amendments.
• As required, produces detailed management information on talent acquisition, retention and career management.
• Remains thoroughly conversant and advises on changes in employment and regulatory legislation and ensures that HR issues are handled in compliance with HR policies;
• Implements and enforces corporate initiatives and Global HR policies.
• Works with HR Management and Colleagues to ensure that HR team deliver a best in class service.
• Works on initiatives and projects both locally and globally which add value to HR’s corporate service offering.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
• Relevant proven track record of achievement of success in HR generalist/ business partner roles
• Strong understanding and/or experience of working across all disciplines within HR, knowledge of best HR practice and UK employment legislation
• Experience of HR in Financial Services experience with fast-paced, demanding client groups
• Experience in working in an international matrix organisation
• Ability to influence and build credibility at all levels - internally and externally
• Well developed internal consultancy skills and experience
• High level of commercial awareness and numerical ability
• IT literate: HR systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) - intermediate level
REQUIRED REGISTRATIONS:
CIPD qualified is preferable though not essential
POSITION WITHIN HIERARCHY:
Reports to Head of HR for EMEA and UK
LEVEL OF AUTONOMY:
High – independently drafts agreements and employment terms working within legal and company guidelines
