Position Description

Serves under supervision for a specified period within an occupation and skill area that directly relates to their college engineering degree. The intern will be mentored/coached to work with customers in order to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements and develop designs. Will be trained to analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Will be mentored to test and validate system designs to insure that they meet operational and functional requirements. Will be mentored/coached to solve problems and provide other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Will be mentored/coached to research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs. The Intern should be learning and striving to develop or attain a broad skill set. The intern should be striving to achieve the background and experience to utilize that skill set efficiently and effectively.

Competencies

Mastery of Excel is highly desired.

Competencies
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Mathlab/Simulink. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
