Internal Audit Director – Asset Management recruitment
Group Internal Audit (GIA) is an independent and objective function that supports the firm in achieving its defined strategic, operational, financial and compliance objectives by providing a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes. GIA supports the Board of Directors and its committees in discharging their governance responsibilities and provides assurance over the Group’s processes for strategic and business planning as well as setting risk appetite. GIA reports to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Risk Committee, and audit results are shared with the Audit Committee.
We are looking for an outstanding professional to join the Global Asset Management Audit Team within the UBS Group Internal Audit Department. Based in London, the successful applicant will join a dynamic team covering UBS Global Asset Management’s activities throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa.
You will leverage your understanding of asset management activities and products to help plan, perform and report the results of Global Asset Management audits across all businesses, including Asset Allocation, Fixed Income, Equities, Alternative and Quantitative, Infrastructure, Real Estate and Fund Services. Specifically:
• Analysing and assessing the risks assumed by the business;
• Identifying and evaluating the effectiveness of controls designed to address those risks;
• Providing practical, innovative, and value-adding solutions to issues identified, and
• Preparation of reports of review findings for UBS senior management at local, global, functional and Group level.
Additionally you will be expected to monitor the risk profile of business areas assigned to you and suggest changes/ additions to the audit plan as necessary.
Whilst the role is for an experienced financial services auditor, structured training will be provided.
