Internal Audit Line Manager recruitment
Vanguard, one of the world's largest investment management companies and a recognized employer of choice, seeks a line manager to develop an annual audit plan, and ensure the plan is completed accurately and on a timely basis.
Your primary duties and responsibilities:
- Manages staff. Provides guidance, training and motivation as necessary to develop staff. Hires, evaluates and counsels personnel. Follows corporate disciplinary procedures per established Vanguard standards as required. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, provides feedback, and recommends wage increases in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Develops the annual audit plan to achieve departmental and corporate objectives. Works closely with management in the planning, development and execution of short and long term goals. Demonstrates initiative and creativity in independently recommending and implementing solutions.
- Performs inquiries of key management personnel to assist in developing the strategy of the audit.
- Reviews and approves audit reports and other communications to management. Assists the Audit Director in preparing communications to the audit committee.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with unit, department and division management, as well as PricewaterhouseCoopers.
- Manages multiple projects, both Departmental and Divisional, and performs other related duties as assigned.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. (BS or BA in a business related field preferred) Professional certification or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years of business experience, with two to four years of previous management experience.
- Five or more years of Internal Audit experience required.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, presentation, and problem solving skills.
- Experience in situations requiring diplomacy and negotiation.
- Strong Client/Focus and relationship skills.
- Advance Organization Integration.
- Strong negotiation skills.
Special Factors
- Ability and willingness to travel to various local company facilities on a regular basis and to travel out of state and internationally (10% - 15%) if necessary.
