Internal Audit Senior

An excellent opportunity has arisen at BDO LLP, a top global accountancy firm for an Internal Audit Senior to join their Public Sector team.

The Internal Auditor’s role will primarily involve hands on project delivery. You will work closely with senior members within the team to assist in the timely delivery of services. The Internal Auditor's main responsibility is to proficiently apply audit principles, skills and techniques by performing audit tests of varying complexity. The role will involve applying internal control concepts in a variety of settings, and appropriately assessing the exposures resulting from ineffective or missing control practices. You must be able to effectively evaluate audit results and identify and define the financial, operational, and compliance risks which affect Public Sector activities in order to formulate recommendations.

Ideal candidates will be working towards the end of their relevant accounting qualification, and have relevant experience within internal audit. In order to be considered, candidates must have experience working with local governments and/or the NHS, this is essential.
